96 coupe, stock, staggered tire/wheel combo
I'm looking to replace one wheel (right front) and want to be sure I buy the correct size. Stock sizes are 17X8.5 front and 17X9.5 rear, correct?

Most use the staggered set up that you describe. Some options use 17" x 9.5" with 275/40/17 tires on all four wheels. Your tire decal in the driver's door opening will show you either the staggered sizes or the square sizes. That will tell you what your car originally came with.
You also have the option of going from the staggered to the square setup. I prefer all four 17" x 9.5".
If you are getting a stock replacement make sure the "vanes" are pointing the correct direction. The left and right side wheels are different.
Make sure you get the right offset on the wheels if not stock wheels.

Thanks for quick reply. I’m replacing a stock wheel. Put a junkyard wheel on a couple years ago to get on the road. Looks like shizz, buying a refurb.
So many people on here have such different wheel setups that numbers blur.
