I am having difficulty programing me remote door opener. This time I can program the remote to =lock door when walking away with remote and horn will beep. When I return to car the remote will not unlock the door. Anyone have an answer? The battery is new and at full power. Also having trouble with console door it will not shut tight or secure when put down.

As you approach your locked Vette, if the car does not unlock like you expect, try jiggling your remote and see if that helps. The remote has a built-in motion detector that is, literally, a BB rolling around on a conductive grid. When the BB is immobile for long enough, the remote goes to sleep and stops transmitting until the BB moves again. The BB-on-a-grid device is rather crude. I have noticed my remote being "sleepy" sometimes until I give it a little jiggle.
Regarding the console door, the door is prone to developing hairline cracks in the plastic around the latch area that will eventually effect its function. If the plastic underside of your console door is OK, then all you probably need to do is adjust the metal striker the latch grabs onto. The striker is held in position by a single 7mm hex head screw. Just loosen it and move the striker up or down untill your console door latches.

For the console lid, you can also adjust the hinge mount. There are a few screws on the passenger side under the lid. That may help align the latch mechanism.
