I have a 93 Corvette. When I open a door there is a buzzing sound that seems to be coming from the Glove Box-Fuse Box area. When I close the door, the buzzing stops most of the time. Sometimes I have to turn on the ignition and turn it off to make it stop. The tone of the buzzing changes when I open the Glove box. This just started after I did a sound deadening job that included disconnecting the wiring harnesses. I also removed, had repaired and reinstalled the Stereo tuner. However, all of the wiring harnesses are unique and it is almost impossible to get the wiring wrong.
Any ideas about what I should check would be very much appreciated.
After posting this ? I searched the forum for similar problems. I found a couple referencing a blown 5A fuse RH CTSY. I checked mine and it was good. I removed a 20A fuse labelled LH CTSY and when I did the buzz stopped. However, the fuse checks good. It is to dark and hot to check all the others tonight but I am wondering if another blown fuse could be responsible. My door courtesy lights did not come on when I opened the door.
