ya. where i live it doesnt get very cold and it rains once in a while. But i dont want to drive it when it does rain.I dont want to " store it ". Would it be alright if I like drive it like once a week or so when its good weather. Or should it be "stored" for its protection. Like whats the most amount of time the car can sit without expecting problems ? thanks
**I took the vette out since the roads are dry. I took a turn going around 35 and hit some loose dirt...a good old fishtail...that was fun :bs I bet it was real fun for the telefone guys working on the side of the road...lesson learned: slow down!
I would suggest putting it on jackstands so the tires don't flatspot, disconnect the battery, apply 5 coats of wax, wrap it tightly in shrinkwrap, cover with an all-weather cover, then duct tape around that.
I drive mine about once a week and I haven't noticed any problems except that the gas gauge doesn't go down as fast. If you leave it sit for longer than a week, I'd suggest that you start it up just to keep the battery charged.

Do not put the car on jackstands, the supension was not designed to float. I would suggest doing a search on this topic, it has come up numerous times.
It's a damn car, dude! On top of that, its a vette! It was meant to be driven! Don't be a garage queen! I do EVERYTHING in mine. Driving, crusing, transporting, drinking, eating, and even screwing. Cars are never permanent and are meant to be used. I always drive mine in the rain and never have any problems. Just use the car and enjoy it while you can. Just remember: nothing is forever except love.

Sorry to steal the thread.. but how do you screw in a vette? Maybe the late C4s are better designed for it? It's hard enough to make out in one. Do you do it on the hood or something? I have found it's great for smuggling booz to/from parties... using those nice hiding spots under the rear storage compartments.
I let my car sit in the garage (heated) for 3 months straight during the winter. I just put some fuel stabilizer into the tank and I don't put it up on jackstands. I've never had any problems with the tires when I take it back out.

It's called sarcasm.
Ya, except there are a lot on the forum who think you should put your car on jacks during the winter. Probably the same one's who think you need to change your oil every 3000 miles  .
I think if it's on a jack long enough to do an oil change that's too long. Drive that sucker!!!! I almost went into withdrawls when I had my trans apart. It took almost a week to get it back together because of waiting for parts. I drive mine ALL the time........it's my only car.......... I run it in the snow too. I have even been entertaining the thought of visiting my Dad in Maine during Christmas break ....... so I could see some real snow.....

I am not sure how these two items are related. Jackstands may or may not damage your suspension while changing your oil every 3000 miles is cheap insurance and will never hurt your car.
I drive Vette when it rains, it is not problem at all. Snow and ice is not nice to drive.. I used to drive on winter with Camaro, but not with Vette. I did crash camaro two times course it was very slippery.. Not going to drive with Vette when there is ice and snow on streets. This winter .. It was really cold.. -10C or more.. but roads where dry.. It was nice to drive.. atleast I notice that heater works good.. :) I wait for spring.. When sun shines and snow melts .. And hit the street again.. :D
By the way Countrygirl pic always gets smile on my face.. She is cute.. :)
