Default Interior Cabin LED replacement lighting

I was wondering if any one has found LED replacement lighting for the interior cabin (door's rear compartment, etc). I have replaced the under hood with LED and would like to do the rest for my C4's ('93 and'94). Thanks Jabohaz

superbrightleds.com

I did about everything in my 96 except the instruments. They even have the amber and white bulbs for the door lights. You can search by car make/model/year. Did everything in my 77 too.

I’m not affiliated with the company at all.

I agree on the superbrightleds.com. I replaced all of my interior lights, except for dash, with LEDs bought from them. It makes a huge difference on the interior lighting.

I ordered some in warm and cool to compare.....I think the warm is closer in color to the incandescent bulb....I suppose it is personal preference!!!!! Thanks, Jabohaz

I used the cool white. it is a brighter white than the warm white. The warm white is probably closer to stock. Depends what your preference is.

I went with the cool white when changing them out in my 95 coupe. I really liked the improvement!

If I was doing it over again I would go with warm I think. That said, the cool white does sort of match up with my led headlights nicely.

I think they were considered 5000k. They're just very white.

Thanks all for the input. I went with the Cool White in the cargo area and Warm White in the door courtesy. I think the Warm White is closer to the original bulbs. Anyone know how to remove the floor courtesy lights? I think I will go with the Warm White in the Mirror reading......Thanks again, Jabohaz

I know that this thread is 4+ months old but have a question. Are the LED's too hot for areas like the DIC or other enclosed areas?

Default Interior Cabin LED replacement lighting

Hi Bugly87,

Have no experience with altering the lighting with the Driver Information Center (DIC). Just replaced the cargo, door courtesy lighting and under
hood lighting. LED's generate very little heat as compared to the incandescent bulbs. Not sure which type of lamps are used in the DIC or if there
is a LED replacement. Jabohaz.

Follow-up: I checked my owner's manual for my '93 ZR-1 and '94 LT-1 and the ZR-1 manual has a bulb number: PC74 but it also
says "Not owner serviceable". The '94 has no part number but has the same statement.

I am thinking the lights in the instrument cluster may already be LED's and soldered on the P.C. board. Just a guess?

You may want to talk to someone who rebuilds instrument clusters. I had a company, "Bob's Speedometer Service, Inc." rebuild
my instrument cluster in my 03 Silverado 2500HD. They may be able to help. I am happy with the work they did for me. There
phone no. (800) 592-9673. You can find them on the internet.

Good Luck and let me know what you find out....Jabohaz

Thanks for the info. My care is a 1987. The door curtesy bulbs are different then the 194 LED's I got. Ill replace what I can. My dash was rebuilt with LED's last year.

Thanks again

Kevin
