Just need a little help here. I have searched and read as much as I can but thanks to old instructions missing photos and photo bucket ruining many older posts, I don't quite under stand what part I am supposed to be cutting off to add the lowering pads to the front leaf spring. I have added a photo. Do I cut off 1, 2, or both? Which side does the new lowering pad go on? Thank you

This is a 95 lt1 car

Hey Capt D. If you use Chrome, there are extensions you can install for free that fix the photobucket picture postings on web sites. Just go to Chrome web store and search Photobucket Extensions and add the appropriate extension. Probably 'fixes' for other browsers, but I'm tech limited. Been working great for me on older CF posts.

Hope this helps.
Cheers. -Steve

That sucks, I'm sorry no workie. The part to be cut is the top portion. Got me nervous too, I trimmed one of the pads off the ends, leaving just one rubber pad where it rests on the lower control arm. Results in a minor 1/2" drop, worked well for my vert without going full drop. There are some great write-ups I've seen on how to cut and trim the retainer pad for installation of the wedges, be careful not to get into the spring itself. I'd recommend more searching in the C4 discussions. I'm searching for alignment specs myself

Damn, I remember when I did this mod on Betty Boop 11 years ago. I did create a thread, but I used Photobucket. Photobucket screwed themselves up. This is the best I can do for you.

fwiw, i just did this. left the springbin the car, half way out.

used a sawzall to cut the rubber off. bent the metal tabs up out of the way for thd cut. did ds first then pass. left 1/4 of rubber on top of the spring. used one of the aluminum shims on top of that.

Oh I didn't realize that. I put it all back together and seems to be tight. I'll double check
