Hey guys, does anyone have a sub box for two 10 inch subs that still allows for the Targa to fit back there??? Pictures and ideas appreciated. BTW, they are 2 Alpine Type S subs...thanks
I have two fosgate 12's in the back. I built the box myself and built it at an angle so it is tall in back and short in front. There is someone else on this forum that removed the rear storage area and used that area for a box. I don't remember his name but maybe he'll see this post.
I made one too .. I put one 10 and my amp in it. I'll be happy to send measurements and pics if you need them. Here's a link that may help you http://xsspl.tripod.com/Audio/BoxCalc.htm
Milktruck the box measures 32" wide 14/34" deep 7/12" high
I made mine out of 3/4" medium density fiberboard (MDF) and covered it with carpet I bought from Crutchfield's. I used 3M spray adhesive and staples to attach the carpet.
I'll email you a couple of pics :)
Try putting two high quality 6X9's in where your storage compartments are in a coupe like my conv. comes with stock speakers. Those deep pockets underneath make for some good bass chambers.
I have 6x9's in the doors, 4x6 in the dash and 6x9s in the back deck through a 100 watt amp. I have great bass now,
MIKE
I have 2 Kicker comp 10's in the storage compartments. they are mounted flush with the carpet. I was gonna take pics , but my digital camera's batteries are dead.
If you haven't already bought the subs, might I suggest the Adire Audio 12" Brahma sub? That thing is INSANE! Would use less space than two 10" subs, but it's a relatively expensive sub when compared to other brands. It kicks butt though. :yesnod:
