Default 1984 C4 brake issue

My 84 has a problem with the brakes. The pads, calipers, hoses and brakes lines are fine. A new brake booster and master cylinder. This happens esp when its the first drive of the day. I start the car, put it gear foot on the brakes and it creeps. I press harder and it holds but then I feel a hard spot and the brake wont travel any further. In my garage I had some oil dry on the floor. When I put the car in gear, brakes on, the fronts kind of slid on the oil/speedy dry, almost like the rears weren't working. If I press harder the car holds but again, the pedal hits a hard spot and I can't press any further. I see a stop bolt in the parts brake down. Is this supposed to be there?

Several things went through my head, besides burning the car down, like master cylinder, pinched rear brake line, frozen calipers, clogged flex lines. All have been replaced or rebuilt . I had a friend come over today to help me bleed the brakes. They lock down, front before the rears. I think only the fronts would actually lock up if I was to jam on the brakes. Hard to tell how much pressure has been put to the rears. The lines come straight off the master cylinder. No brake bias or proportioning valve, or anything. 2 lines for the front brakes and one for the rear. I put it on the lift, followed the rear line to a T fitting on the driver side, then follow to either rear side. No kinks or pinched line.

Help?!?! Bleeding the brakes are a pain but did that today. The fronts gush with lots of pressure, the rears, not so much but my help said the pedal went down as the fluid came out. I am used to getting a lot more from the rears from other cars I have bled the brakes on. I don't see any options for another type master cylinder so pretty sure I have the correct one. It matched the one that was on when I got the car and it acted the same way. Should it have an external brake bias/proportioning valve on it?

Thanks

Russ
