As long as you are happy with the car that is all that matters. I have been into cars for almost as long as I have been alive, and I have never bought a car to make money on it. This whole hobby is irrational, just go out and drive and enjoy it.
This times ten!
To the OP, nice nice work. You obviously know your way around a wrench. So glad you ignored the early naysayers advice on finding "a better" car, you'll have too much money in it, etc. Now a car you want and getting very close to the way you want it.
IMHO too many in the Corvette world have Griots Garage on speed dial and stand back to admire their wax collection. But then along come folks like you who take on a project, turn a few wrenches, bust some knuckles and build their version of Corvette. Gives me hope for the hobby. Seen a lot since I got my first Corvette project in 1973 and the future looks good.
Seats came out nice, same issue as you with sport seats the std are about the most comfortable on the planet!
What was your symptom that led you to replace the MAF?
For sure on the seats. Standard seats only for bodybuilders. The sport seats controls dug into my hamstrings
The car would surge and idle erratically. It was temperature related , something loose inside MAF I guess. Ran great when I test drove it. Ran horrible when the temp dropped which it did just a few days after and got worse as the winter came. Previous owner replaced with a new Blue streak electronics MAF...Junk...Then the car liteally broke down in garage. I was blessed I did not break down on the drive home.
Looking for a better deal is not bad advice if you don't know how to work on the old C-4s replacing nuts and bolts hardware no big deal electoral trouble shooting BIG DEAL it's very hard to find anybody who has the know how and the tech tools to diagnose are will even work on one .I just moved fro Houston TX . to Birmingham Al . there was a few very few people that would work on one in Houston TX. not sure they knew what they were doing anyway. I found two shops here in Al. one in Birmingham Al. one in Huntsville witch is about 100 miles N. of Birmingham the guy in Birmingham is retiring in a year the guy in Huntsville Al. have to get in line to have him work on it might be 2-3 mounts before he can get to it ,their are one two people in Mobile AL . that will work on a C-4 and they are older and might retire at any time . I had a hard time just finding someone who knew how to reline a C-4, they are shim cars ,most alignment shops will not reline a shim car ,new car don't have shims . I do most of the work on my C-4s but at times I need help so if anyone is thinking about buying one I would make sure there is some help in your area you might need it ??? It's not fun to not be able to find help in your area when your old C-4 won't crank and you can't figure it out, yep some shops say yes bring it on down we will see what we can do : that will be $100.00 we could not figure it out ,sorry .. Just saying .... after owning these old C-4 for 20+ years on and off ( Parts another story ) if you can't work on one the price is irrelevant . Don't get me wrong they are great old Corvettes for sure BUT ...

For sure. This is my 3rd C4 and 5th vette. It's the electrical gremlins due to age that is the bitch on these cars. The rest I can figure out eventually.....
Looks great!! How do you like the t56 what did you use for hydraulics?
again good job on those seats wish I had that ability. nothing looks better than a fresh interior

I watched a you tube vid on how to do it but have done it on a c3 before. Cut the factory line and ran a braided line to the T56 master slave Attachment 48340851
I replaced the door panels to finish off the interior. After adding up all the receipts, to my surprise I have 13k in the car. I had a 10k budget but thanks to the 4+3 failure and every possible little thing that could fail ie MAF sensor , ICM relays fuel injectors etc etc. I blew the budget. I would never buy another 4+3 unless it was almost free lol.
