1986 convertible just came up for sale near me.......it says it has Daytona badging and has a Daytona tune. I've never heard of this before so I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this..is it rare? What am I looking for when checking it out?

i tried to pull up the ad but it has already been taken down. It was an 86 convertible, red with a huge wing on it. 1400 $ but the ad said Daytona corvette with badging and Daytona engine tune. Couldn't find any information and ive never heard of it so I figured id see if I stumbled on a rare find. Sounds like it was more BS than anything.
Maybe the owner drove it on beach and it has special Daytona sand on it.....
They did use and offer an 86 as the Indy pace car, was yellow and came with decals and a dash plaque if memory serves me right.
Red ones also were sold with the Pace Car designation (mine has it). Also have never heard of a Vette Daytona. Might be some shop added a few things and called it a Daytona, but that's just speculation.
