Default Dimples on interior door panels normal?

i have been looking to buy a C4 for a while now and I am noticing dimples in the vinyl on the interior door panels? Is this normal or am I seeing thing. It seems quite common in photos of different cars for sale in the 92 to 96 year range or so. Can anyone confirm or advise? Also the dashes sometimes. What is the deal?

Thanks
Gary

All the ones I have seen are like this including mine. The dimples are where the "Support ribs" are on the back side of the panels.

Can't answer you on that one, but I think its safe to assume they were there when new or shortly after.

Mine's the same. It doesn't show up as much as in your pics but it's there.

Happens over time. Typical GM finding a way to cheap out on something.

Go look at a door panel of a 95-98 993. You won’t see this kind of trash.

Oh, so now we have gone from "look at any other manufacturor during that time period" to a priced defined result. GM apologists. Got to love them.

Here you go, here is a 96 Camaro. Door panel doesn't look like crap. Well other than the cloth instead of leather.

993s had barely any door panel. And they had dashboards that cracked. My dad had a 96, and you wouldnt believe the cost of the stupid little interior parts he had to replace on his 26k mile car. 50 bucks for the plastic gear for the trip odometer, which would break all the time. He spent thousands on a new piece of dashboard trim because they ALL cracked. It was actually cheaper to glue them together and have them covered in leather than to find an OEM piece.

Sigh... I wish he hadn't sold that car to pay for their current stupid idea, trying to live in an RV on 10 acres of property to retire.

The 90-93 panels are of a different design so no but they also have a flaw at the top of the panel. The weatherstrip at the top of the panel is wavy and looks like crap.

You can’t be serious,do you honestly think GM gives a ratsass if a door panel fits like crap? The door panels in the 95-96 looked like crap right out of the factory. Yes,it makes plenty of sense went you’re talking about GM quality.
