I may be selling my 84 in order to fund another car project. The paint is original silver that has been touched up at some point. It has some marks but isn't terrible. The interior has been redone in red and the carpet and seats are in good shape. The gauges have been redone also and the radio and speakers have been replaced. The car has 129k on it but has a rebuilt transmission that only has about 1k on it plus new mufflers and tires, and shocks that are the same age. Any suggestions of what I should ask for it? I was thinking around $6000 but I'm not confident in my pricing accuracy.
Just from what I've seen near me $6000 is out there. $4000 would be a little more in line but even then you might have to wait...and I've noticed quite a few have...and are still waiting.
Grandpa always said "start high n let'em talk you down"
$5000... let them negotiate you down, it's satisfying for the buyer, and often times you get closer to the price you're after.
Worked on many many motorcycles over the years.
Good Luck!
