They towed it too my house, a tripd of less than 10 miles and charged me 85$. butts. I have had it towed from all the way across town on a flat bed for 5 dollars cheaper by an at least competent tow truck driver.
Hey, Glad to hear that you are ok... I know that you have heard it before, but the car can always be replaced. This place would be lost without you :yesnod: Hang in there, I know that it is hard to lose part of your family but maybe you can upgrade alittle....
Sorry to hear about your misfortunate accident. The most important thing is that you're okay and not injured. Hopefully, you will be back in a Vette some time soon. :blueangel:
Sorry to hear about the crash. It seems like it was definatly the ladies fault.
I hope you got the police or had witnesses, funny how the story changes after the accident.
I would fight with the insurance company until they fixed your car right or gave you a fair amount of $ to purchase another vette. If they start being jerks tell them your neck really really hurts.
Man, that's just awful... Glad you're OK, and I have to agree from earlier posts this is a chance to begin another adventure with a new Vette. You do need to get yourself checked out though, you never know what can show up and you need to have the whole process documented as best as possible.

Re: Goodbye 1bad85 (baddmann)
Well I have been having pain in my neck and shoulders and the entire length where the seat belt was but I think its just soreness. I dont know whos fault the insurance company says it will be but I hope they rule in my favor otherwise im out of a decent car for a very very long time. I seriously doubt that my car can be fixed very easily. At this point I think I would rather a payoff. I will post pics tomorrow when my dad gets home from vacation.
Very sorry to hear of your accident but at least you can walk away from it. From what you have said, I don't see how it can't be her fault. Were there witnesses? Were you speeding? I know that shouldn't make any difference but if you were, her insurance might try to claim contributory negligence on your part... I know that because of personal experience. Don't let them push you around.... sure sounds like she is at fault and she should pay.

Yes actually there were 2 witness 100% on my side. They were right behind her in line to pull out and saw the whole thing. I dont know how much that will help though.
Wonder if that will help much......don't you have "no-fault" insurance law in TX, just like FL and some other states?? In this case you have to take care of your own damage..............?? :cry

did you call the cops??? did they issue a citation?
I said it before, get to a Dr. - NOW!!!!!!!!!!!
you may have real soft tissue injuries. I am not playing this for easy money, just medical bills covered accordingly.
My brother got ill a few years ago and needed surgery... with no health insurance. You don't want to milk your insurance too much for things you were not at fault with.

Re: Goodbye 1bad85 (bogus)
Yes the cops were called but no citations were issued. Im feeling sore but I think thats it. Just sore. We will see, I might go to the doctor tomorrow.
You mentioned you have witnesses. Did you get their names and numbers?
Also, when the cops come you should insist that the other person be issued a citation if they are to blame. Judging by what you said that lady pulled out in front of you and didn't yield the right of way.. that makes her at fault unless she can prove you were flying along at a high rate of speed then it could be contributary negligence. (insurance companies love this -- both peoples rates go up) Make sure you get an accident report too.... i had an accident report where the police report switched the two cars around... if you just read the report it would look like it was my fault when in reality it was the other lady who didn't yield the right of way and slammed into me.
Make sure you goto a doctor.... thats all im going say... Get thoroughly checked out
Sorry about your car... i would be pissed if it were my Z. :cuss
Wow I hate that for you. At least YOU'RE able to walk and talk and get around. Get checked out though. I broke my neck 22 years ago and I STILL hurt!!!!! don't mess around with that stuff........
If you leave us ........come back soon ........ we'll miss ya :(
Dang, really sorry to hear about your misfortune bro. Everyones right, go to the doctor, NOW! If you delay, the insurance company may try to hose you later. Plus you need to make sure your okay. Hope everything works out for the best.
