Like stated above just unscrew quickly it will give a hiss and pop sound with a little oil. Now here is the warning when reinstalling the switch spin on by hand and the slightest of a tighten you don't want to snap off that nipple because that requires the hoses be replaced
If you're concerned about the fitting, it's not that hard to move the compressor out of the way, without loosening any refrigerant lines.
That "high pressure safety sensor" is a bit delicate, and I was concerned about bumping it when I was adding oil, so I swapped sides with my valve covers when I had them off. That big wire bundle was in the way, too. I like the "wrong" position much better!
So to move the AC compressor out of the way. I undid the two arm brackets in the back and it looks like I need to loosen the nuts on the tensioner bracket to budge it forward, am I right? The car has sat for 10yrs so I may need to spray some PB blaster to get it to budge.
