Hello everyone. With the most deepest emotions . I will be leaving the corvette community . I want to thank everyone for the support and feed back that I received . I had a 92 base model. Black on black. It was a pretty car. I really did enjoy it for a short two years. And I will say the corvette forum here is top notch all the way. I will explain... I sold the corvette . It was a very big decision for me. But the right one for me. The corvette was always gonna be someone else's car, that I just bought , because I thought it was what I thought I wanted. I had 96 Mustang Gt that I have had for over 20 some years. It was is storage. In those few years , the love of my life got sick, and passed away. I'm not here to asked for pity. But, We had a lot of good times in that Mustang. So, I had it towed home. Got it up and running. Repainted it myself. Original color . Laser red metallic . It's not the fastest car, or the best car, and it will never be on the car show floor with giant trophies in front of it. But, it means the world to me. Sometimes it's not about how much horsepower you have, or how fast you can go ? Or how many miles are on the car . When it comes right down to it ? In the end. Nobody cares it was 1 of 500 made. Or has 57 miles on it. Drive the **** out it and make some memories !!!! As For me. I don't know how long the Mustang will last ? I don't know how long I will last ? LOl. All I know it that I got a second chance, and I get to drive it a little bit longer. Anyway. Thank you again. Thank you for your time. I will be signing off in about week for good. I wish everyone good heath . And take the cover off those corvettes now and then and bang some gears or matt the pedal. Take care guys.
Sounds like you've figured out your future direction and I wish you the best of luck. Sounds like you had a special connection to the Mustang and it was important to your wife, I can appreciate that.
Best of luck in what the future brings.
I have a 91 pickup that I am restoring, already have too much money in it, but it was the truck we drove while courting my wife and hauled our horses all over the county to ride. I took it deer hunting, did an awful lot in that truck.
We have fun driving in and working on the Corvette, but without that truck, today wouldn't have been possible. The money we have in the truck would have been better spent somewhere else, but.....
I can understand dealing with a piece of non-living matter that connects you to a time in your life that really means a lot.
I can sympathize with you as I lost my wife 3 years ago to cancer. A year before she passed she surprised me with the car of my dreams....a 69 candy apple red GTO. That car is very special to me and I have worked hard at showing it and winning trophies to honor her memory. Each show has a picture of her and the story behind her getting it for me. But she taught me that tomorrow isn't promised so I have fun with the car also. And even though nothing can equal the GTO, I missed my 93 black on black C4 so I recently purchased a 93 anniversary edition C4 and a Harley. Between the three my summer will be full. Good luck with your future and live each day to the fullest.
Best wishes and best of luck to you. Honor your wife with every mile you drive in your stang. She will be in the passenger seat with you wherever you go.
Understood since I also have an 84 Mustang GT that my deceased and I got right after we were married. Had it over 30 years now.
Enjoy all of the drives!
Sounds like the Mustang means a lot to you. Take care of it and it'll take care of you. May it always bring you fond memories. Via con Dios.
This right here..take car my friend. As a side note. The car that means the most to me only has 145 hp. It was the car I met my beautiful wife with. We met as teenagers and have had a wonderful 33+ years together. It was a 1973 Nova SS. Zero to 60 in 30 days but man did we have fun cruising .

Man, you guys are breaking my heart. Godspeed to you all.
.....ok, no pity - but still sorry to hear about your wife passing. We're all on the same road here, just never sure when we'll get there.
I almost think it's better to drive anything - even a Mustang - than to look at a C4 in the garage....almost - HA!
Very best to you.
