Somewhat. My exhaust is crap, leaking from some bubba job the previous owner did, so, I can't really give an assessment on drone, but road noise and vibrations are noticeably better. And yes, exhaust system is next on the list, sounds like a farmer's truck right now. I'd like to do long tube's but I'm afraid to break a bolt off.

If you decide to do the headers and end up breaking any bolts off you can weld a nut onto the stud if it breaks off flush and use it to turn the stud out. The heat usually unfreezes the seized threads. I did this with one of the heads for my ls engine, granted it was aluminum.

Well, after all that body work and prep, I must have neglected a couple areas. A few nasty "blisters" starting popping up in some heavy filler areas so she had to go back to the paint barn. This time I hope I prepped the area much better for no future issues. Seems to have turned out well. Should be ready for cut and buff tonight, painted yesterday. I repainted both doors and right quarter panel.

Hey folks! I'm back after taking a break for a while on the car. I decided to finish up the interior starting with replacing the old Bose stereo unit with a newer one but I'm having problems. First let me say that the old unit was never installed in the car when I got it so I don't know if the stereo or the connections in the car were operational. I never tried to hook up the old unit at all. I got a newer one I think out of an 87 or 88. I tried to install it but like everything else, it doesn't work. Here is what happens. I did briefly get a display but I didn't like what I saw, the dreaded 1:00. The antenna functions properly when you turn the unit on and off. No functions what so ever work on the unit. I have very very very basic knowledge on how to troubleshoot. But I did put a tester on the power connector and only the yellow wire was positive with ignition off and acc and run. No other wire would light up in any key position. I know there is a bose relay but from what I understand that is only to power up the amps to the speakers. I hit a brick wall so for ***** and giggles I tried to hook up the old unit and got absolutely nothing except for the same antenna function. What else can I check. I have the service manual but it's very basic and I don't understand a lot about wiring. Is there something else that controls the radio power maybe in the convenience center behind the driver info panel? Thanks in advance.

While replacing the A pillar weather-strips, I noticed that the right drivers side weather-strip retainer track was positioned differently than the RH side. These have never been removed, was this a factory adjustment for fitment? I haven't seen any other like this online or in person. ANY input is appreciated.

Mine was the same way. I thought it was odd as well but everything was fine when finished.

Well guys and gals, restoration has continued. After some hiatus and a stay in storage, I moved on to the next phase of this restore which was the suspension. I decided to keep it stock although I was tempted to deviate from the norm. All in all, it wasn't too bad of a job, I had to invest in some tools but I can't complain about buying tools. I pretty much serviced everything except the composite springs, they were surprisingly in very good shape. I replaced front upper and lower control arm bushings, upper and lower ball joints, sway bar bushings, hub/bearings, shocks, and outer tie rod ends. On the rear I replaced the dog bone bushings, spindle bushings, bat wing bushings, all U-Joints, shocks, composite spring bushings, rear hub/bearings, sway bar bushings, and lots and lots of cleaning. The difference in handling is now night and day. I've never driven a brand new C4 but mine drives and rides like new. This project will be nearing an end soon, because now all that is left to do is recondition the top and new leather seat covers then done.....here is my journey restoring the suspension.
