As my wife says, " I'm a large man". The seat bottoms on my 96 are too tight, and I want to do something to remove the bolsters to achieve a flat bottom. Anybody done this, or have suggestions?
All jokes aside, you could take the seat to an upholstery shop to cut out the bolsters and redo the cover, but honestly I'm not sure how much it will help, the seat bottom plastic is tight with the bolsters, so you'd just be sitting on the plastic frame instead.
If you're referring to the padded "humps" on each side of the seat that touches your hips/butt...then any good auto upholstery shop can modify just the seat to accommodate a larger rider. You can easily remove just the seat portion (without tools) and take it to a place for ideas/estimates.
