Hi all, anyone know where the bracket below goes? This is for a 96' ZF6 but I imagine the same applies for 92'-96' with the ZF6. I remember removing it but not the location I took it from and wondering where it went. By the looks of it exhaust related? If you have any photos that is greatly appreciated but if not and you know where it goes thats just as good. Thank you!
I seen how its mounted on an automatic trans in a photo but cant really see show it goes on the ZF6. I didn't make that cut/break on the bracket so that's whats throwing me off. Any idea as to what that is and/or was supposed to be?
Im thinking it is a ghetto fix. Hard to see why that would be a factory cut. I am the third owner of this car and although not extremely common so far, I have found my fair share of missing bolts and in this case a couple ghetto fixes. Nothing major but it does have you shaking your head. On the automatic trans, the bracket looks a little different. Wider. But one side bolts to the bell housing and the other 2 holes bolt to the cat. This one is a bit diiferent. The arc on the bracket is too "straight" so it doesnt seems to sit gracefully over the exhaust pipe but ill and see if I can fit it.
