Purchased last August, work and cleanup were completed late November. Last week I took my first trip from Charlotte to Cape Hatteras, and now have added 5k miles with no issues. While a few updates remain I enjoy driving it and don't avoid the weather.
Good for you! They are really fun on road trips.
I bought mine last May, did some sound proofing and light mechanical work, then took it from Nashville, TN to Santa Monica, CA on a 2 week Route 66 trip. Then took my wife on a 4 day trip down Natchez Trace Parkway. I am planning a Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive trip this year.
Dont leave them in the garage. Life is too short and they are too much fun!
I only saw one other Vette on the trip, on the beltline. It was one of those newer models with the sharp lines, not as cool as a C4! Also stopped in at my old hometown where I owned a couple of muscle cars in the 60's, and that nostalgia is what prompted my Vette purchase which is an unbelievable bargain vs old GTO and SS396 which are unaffordable now.
Looks like a beautiful 95 or 96!! These cars are extremely reliable if they are maintained properly and not constantly abused. What did the car need to be road worthy?

It is a 96, purchased from original owner with 51k miles after being driven very little for last four years. Besides fluids and tune up replaced all vacuum lines, radiator (leak), water pump, brake pads and rotors, and a few misc things. A buddy did the work for me, then I buffed and waxed it. I've considered beefing up the engine performance in the future, but it is so fast already - faster than my old muscle cars. Got to address cruise and air vent controls first anyway.
