The RH window switch is stuck/broken, which may be related to the battery problem. I have the same radio in my '84. It's a nice unit, but has a few unusual characteristics. Be sure you get the manual for the radio!
I might be wrong, but I think there should be an EGR tube across the back of the RH valve cover. Has this been removed?
I’m not sure what year the egr tube started but on the early c4s the egr was all in the intake so there was no egr tube like on my 85. So you don’t have to worry about that. I think the asking price is really good, a running c4 in pretty good shape is usually at least close to $4,000. There doesn’t seem like too many problems either.
I'll probably end up passing, I want a Corvette but the common theme I'm see'ing is don't settle on the first one you see that one is pretty good but I don't want that old of a car. I can save up 10k for a much better and newer one, thanks for the tips guys.
If the alternator is failing, the electrical system will do all sorts of wacky things. If you suspect that the alternator is bad, I would test output voltage at the alternator with the engine running or remove it and have it tested at an auto parts store. You can have the battery tested at an auto parts store as well if you suspect that it's bad.
So you didn't read post #1? If you don't consider your '85 as an "early C4", what years do you consider the "early C4's"?
(p.s. Of the early C4's, it's only the '84 that doesn't use that EGR tube. One more positive for the '84!)
no, I’m saying it shouldn’t have the egr tube, my 85 doesn’t. I meant “like my 85” as in not having it, I don’t know if they added that air tube for 86, 87, or 88 but the 85 doesn’t have it and I don’t think 86 does either.

im quite sure my 85 did not have an egr tube. instead the 85 used passageways in the intake manifold. in fact the egr solenoid was located where in 86 and later had the tube. the solenoid was relocated under the plenum behind the tb and then they put the tube there and didnt use the passageways in the intake manifold.
your behaviour and responses on this forum have taken a serious turn for the negative lately. snarky comes to mind.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was trying to ask a question, and I'll admit that I'm not knowledgeable on the '85. I'm going to take a WAG and speculate the external EGR tube was added when the aluminum heads were added. Can anyone confirm that? The iron heads have the internal EGR passage, but the aluminum heads do not. I thought it was a CFI vs. TPI issue, but that is apparently wrong. I learned something!
Thanks for asking, VikingTrad3r, but everything is not okay. But that story doesn't belong here.
