If he's thinking about it, he is already stupid

Stay away from him before he does anything stupid and it takes you down. He is one of those "if it is used by the military it must be good".
This is the craziest suggestion I've ever heard. He wasn't serious, was he?
- JP-5 isn't "gas"; somebody already pointed it out, but it's more like kerosene
- It's gotta be a wicked lot more convenient to get 93 octane than JP-5
- DoD's "standard price" I found for JP-5 is $2.99/gal, so it's not like it's likely to be way cheaper than 93 unless your buddy's getting it less-than-legally
- Most of all, small block V8 <> turbine engine
Not trying to beat up on your friend, but it should be pretty obvious to use gas. Just to be on the safe side, I wouldn't leave your car with him unattended...

Lets say he CAN get it free and easy. I'd still like to see how the car works and more important, how long it runs with that stuff in the system. I'd probably buy him a tankful just to see it. I mean, $3 X 20 is $60 so cheap entertainment.
I used to get a gallon free everyday when I had to perform water contamination inspections on the fuel trucks at the airport when I was fresh out of high school back in the late 80s.
Man, did that stuff burn awesome in my car and motorcycle. Jet fuel is nothing more than kerosene with addl additives, in principle.

Yeah, he HAD to have meant 100LL and NOT JP-5.
100LL Avgas will run great in a car, and it smells awesome, too!
JP-5 is ULTRA CLEAN KEROSENE.....or basically ULTRA REFINED DIESEL FUEL. It's like 60 Octane. It will burn awesome in a diesel, car lol
