Trans update
As for the specifics....
Originally put in Vig. 2800 converter, car ran great but when I did a WOT test, blew out first and overdrive. Called up Yank and ordered a Sportsman Pro to replace my transmission. Two weeks later, trans arrives, gets installed, and I picked it up this morning. During that R&R, they had to replace on O2 sensor. When car was first started, the check engine light was on and they determined it to be a faulty O2. Also done was new fluid (versus reusing what was in my blown trans). I also noticed they had cut me a break on labor install. Overall bill was $770, which included shipping charge to get the transmission to me from Yank.
As for how it drives....
Car feels more "solid" with the new trans, temps are 185-195, 1-2 shift is VERY firm, maintains 20mpg on the highway at 75mph.
I need to put on 200 miles before I can really get into it, but based on my short preliminary drive to work (35 miles), I would venture to say I will need a new rearend VERY soon.... :D
Mike (VERY satisfied)
