Replacement rear spring source
I recently discovered that the rear spring on my '96 has developed a crack in one side in the center area. I'm looking for recommendations on a good source for a new replacement spring (standard suspension) as I figure any used one is just as old or older than the one on my car with only 32K miles. Is there a way to safely replace the spring without the special compressor tool the manual describes? Thanks for your assistance.

Rear spring is easy. Use a floor jack and raise the edge of the spring up to where you get tension off the nut/bolt. Undo the nut/bolt and lower the jack and do the same on the other side.
Replace the bushings on that nut/bolt combo as well as those will be fairly worn and distorted.
