Default 1983 Corvette model year

Remember the 1983 Corvette? Very rare, such limited numbers, very collectible, in fact the most collectible Corvette there is.

So if the 2020MY will end sooner than expected, won’t such a limited number of cars be very valuable in say 40 to 50 years from now?

Everyone who watches BJ auctions thinks their car will be worth money someday. It will never be worth more than the day you buy it. Gone are the days of 427/435 Tri power options. Just because your ordered a nifty little plaque, its not a protecto plate and will not increase the value.

You should put "LOL" or something similar at the end, otherwise people will think you're not making a joke.

My father had three 1983 corvettes throughout his lifetime. They are not as rare as you might think.

I had a C4...1984...and at the time I was told by my salesman there was no 1983 Corvette....they just kept making the C3 body until the C4 was ready...

Around 50 cars were built IIRC. So many issues they delayed a year. None were ever sold to the public.

No, he didn't. All but one were crushed. That one is in the NCM. The only reason it did not get crushed ws because the guy in charge had a new pair of boots he didn't want to get wet in the rain. He left the scene and so did the guy with the crusher, leaving a single 1983 uncrushed. The next day they found it and pushed it off to the side of the yard where it stayed for about a decade until it got re-discovered, restored, and sent to the NCM. There's also half of a 1983 body hanging in the plant still, but it's just a shell. As there are only 1 1/2 existing, yeah, you could say they are rare.

‘yeah, those ‘83’s are a hot collector. Half one exists at the Corvette museum store room. It’s probably with HALF a million dollars.
