When I pulled both seats I used carb cleaner to remove the deep grime from over the years.
Carb cleaner? Isn't that a little harsh? (Especially on white leather?)
thats the same stuff dry cleaners use to get spots out of delicate fabricks. it cleans and dries quick and leaves no residue. good for lots of stuff. i use zymol leather cleaner and conditioner on my seats once per year and use the armour all leather wipes the rest of the year.
Yes the carb cleaner was a drastic step, but the white leather was black where it had contacted the center consol and the carpet over the years.
So I gave the entier surface a light wipe to bring out realy imbeded dirt. That was folled by several applications of Gliptone leather conditioner; I like it as it leaves that "new leather" smell too and it realy softens the leather.
I think I'll try the mink oil treatment before winter.
