The leather seats in my '95 creak and squeak against the plastic cover on the parking brake handle and the center console when I get in or out or move around. Makes it sound cheap to me. I've tried leather conditioner, but still creaks. Anyone have a good solution for this??
Thanks,
Nick
Or, any shop that sells shoe polish. Saddle soap and mink oil both come in paste form in
a shoe polish can. Both items are excellent for leather conditioning.
IIRC the leather seats are coated with a protective film bonded to the leather. It's supposed to make the seats resistant to stain and easy to clean but it also makes the leather nearly impervious to conditioners. Not sure if this helps but it seems relevant to the discussion.
Did not know that. I ordered some of the felt with adhesive from Michael's as Bill suggested. Anxious to try it.

If that doesn't work, try "Mothers VLR"; vinyl, leather, rubber care. Look for the red spray bottle at Walmart, Pep Boys, or any major auto parts store. Heavily apply it to the suspected areas that are touching (seat and plastic cover to the hand brake and side of center console) to quiet the "noise." I use it on my entire seats and no noise what so ever. Hopefully it's not actually something behind the plastic cover or on the interior of the seat.
