Does anyone have a home remedy to remove a tiny window sweep scratch on drivers side window. I replaced the window sweeps a few years ago and noticed a tiny 3 inch or so scratch where the old sweep rubbed into the outside edge of the glass. I watched several professional video's and some of it was well beyond my expertise or tools to remove it. I'd be a nervous wreck sanding the glass down in fear of scratching it worse. Anyone have an easy way to polish it away? Mag wheel polish or jewelers polish?
Eastwood sells a glass polishing kit. You must be careful to not polish too much or you will distort the window and it will end up with waves in it. They sell several kits. One for deep scratches and one for light work. You might also want to consider having a pro look at it. My 96 had heavier scratches that would not polish out. You could catch your finger nail on them.

ZWILDZR1 is right.
I bought some glass-polishing compound years ago to polish out a scratch in my windshield where a longish breaker bar contacted the glass while I was removing the steering wheel on my Scirocco. After the scratch was removed, the sight picture was distorted in that small area. I don't notice it much these days, but it's there. I prefer the fun-house-mirror effect over the scratch, but polishing out scratches is not a perfect process nor a perfect solution.
By the way, I got the compound from McMaster-Carr Supply. I got a 2oz jar at the time, but it looks like it's only available from them in two POUND jars now. If you like, I'll send my jar of compound to you for shipping costs.
