Squeaky top update
Just wanted to add the most important place to put your weatherstripping is around the bolts where the top is attached, especially the front ones.
Also make sure the adjusting bolts are good and tight.
If all is done properly, there will be absolutely no squeaks, rattles, or any noise at all coming from the top. It's great :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:

I need to replace the weatherstripping around the doors and under the hatch but its like perfect under the front and rear of the targa. It looked like the top had never been taken off before I bought it. Not a single scuff mark on the ratchet tool or bolts, I had to literally pry the top off the first time as everything was so stuck together. The front and back weatherstripping looks like new...just the sides is shot. Of course you cant get just the sides, oh no...you have to buy the whole package at the usual corvettes mega $$$ price. :mad :blueangel:

Have you tested it for waterproofness yet Jim? I saw your other posts about the squeaky top, but decided to just re-align and re-adjust my top to the car. All squeaks are gone again :) I was gonna do the foam thing, but when I did a dry run with the foam, it leaked :(

Yea, I ran it through the car wash, no leaks. I wouldn't go crazy with the weatherstripping, only put it where you need it , but be sure to keep both sides the same to keep it even. :cheers:
