There are true carbon fiber kits that cost big bucks. There are carbon fiber "looking" kits that are cheap. You will pay for the quality you want.
Personally I don't care for the plastic stick on stuff. Looks cheap to me.

I don't like it, but that's just me. If you like it, go for it.
[ADD] But one mod that I'll deficinately do on 84-89 interiors is to get rid of the breadbox on the passenger's side dash. On my 88, that thing started warping and losing its shape, and looked ugly.

Thought about getting the kit from Corvette Central.....but after really thinking about...kinda like the look of my '84, in stock form...
