Quick question. I have a 1991C4 convertible with a couple of worn areas on the carpet. The majority is in really good shape but on the top of the seatbelt pillars and the kick plates have some wear.
What company makes the best quality carpets on the market today? I want the closest stock quality as I can possibly get or better.. Are there any companies that offer pieces and not a whole kit? I would think that possibly would cause matching issues. Maybe not.
My "new" '89 had some serious wear to left of the clutch pedal.
Since it was pretty much out of sight, I patched with some carpet samples and sprayed matching die for a decent job.
With three pedals the narrow foot well is so full that the "patch" isn't visible unless you really get down to inspect the area.
Dont know....i hear Al Knoch is top notch...personally Id take it to an upholstery shop they have all kinds of different grade stuff. Used repop stuff in an A body...looks fine but its chit quality, thin, frays easy and wears horribly.
Nothing like good quality plush stuff....They could probably make you matching mats too.
Most of those are thin/chessy too. May cost a little more but when you look at it youll love it.
A stellar interior never gets old.
