I recently realized my project has gone from months to years and I need to drain/siphon any gas in the tank. I figure it will be easy to clean once I remove the fuel pump assembly. Of course like anything on this car....it has to be replaced.
I was looking at Delphi fuel pump assemblies on Rock Auto for about $275 (Amazon $300) and checked out Racetronix, I believe their pump was about $240. What am I missing here? Is there additional parts needed for the Racetronix pump? I thought it would be more than the stock unit.
That being said, would the Racetronix pump be better for my modded project? Lloyd Elliott 2 package/cam/intake with 30lbs injectors?

Well with the delphi unit, you are getting the entire assembly including a pump.
With the racetronix unit, you are just getting the pump, wiring harness, strainer, gasket and auxiliary bits.
If your current assembly is in good working order, go with the racetronix setup. Should be around 115 shipped.
MAKE SURE you get the sending unit re-wire kit from racetronix. It is Teflon and resistant to ethanol. My last wiring harness RUSTED off at the spade connector less than a year after installing new
