Has anyone on here replaced your soft top? If so how difficult was it to do? Who did you get your replacement top from? What else was needed besides the top? Thanks in advance.

Reason: adding
Pat approx what did it run? Got a few teeny holes hate to replace the whole top thought maybe they could be stitched/covered up somehow.
Glass a nice uprade, cannot stand the plastic window too easy to back over a pedestrian.

IIRC the whole thing was ~$1,600 including the top, conversion kit and labor. The shop also replaced all the weatherstripping, but I purchased that separately.
I had a reputable upholstery shop do the job. After he marked up the materials, I had $1200 in it
that was WITH me handing him the weatherstrip and now discontinued glass rear window guide kit
One trick was he flipped over my headliner (didnt like the repros), so the faded side was not visible anymore.
Despite crappy instructions, he did a greatjob with the rear glass window retrofit and installation of the new top.
what he did a crap job on was the weatherstrip.
specifically he didnt try very hard to scrape out all the old bits of weatherstrip - even though i told him he needed to before he started the job.
luckily he used silicone caulk to (half-a$$) install the weatherstrip over the bits and pieces of remaining OEM weatherstrip. The remaining bits and pieces caused visible bumps in the surface of the new weatherstrip.
since he used silicone caulk , i was able to remove/clean the weatherstrip, clean out the weatherstrip channels properly, and do the job correctly myself
so what im saying is install the weatherstrip yourSelf so it doesnt get half-a$$ed. Its not a job that has to be done at the same time as the top (ie. It doesnt matter if the top is on or off)

I believe the question was; "Has anyone on here replaced your soft top?"
Yes I have, however I have been an automotive upholsterer for years.
It was much easier than other convertibles I have done in the past .
I do not know what skill level you have, so I really can not say if it was hard or easy.
The main thing to look for after you have removed the old top is any worn out bushings, pivots, etc.
on your conv. top frame. I had to do a few repairs on mine as well as fix previous "rigged" repair attempts
from previous owners/shops.
If you are determined to try it yourself - buy the video of a shop doing it.
My new top came with the purchase of the car - that is where I got it
