Does anyone know what glue GM used on the hush panel carpet on the dash of the 92's? That stuff is really sticky. I'm redoing my carpets and want to be sure the new will stick like the old. Thanks in advance.

Agreed. The tip is making sure to do it right. You have to spray the panel and the carpet backing themselves. Let the glue tack-up and then put them together. That's the real trick in getting it to stick properly. The hard part is getting the carpet lined up the first time since you don't want to move it once the glue surfaces touch themselves.

I used a hot glue gun on one of my door panel carpets - 4 or 5 years now - no issues. you can't do a whole panel at one time, but start at an edge, and work from one side to the other - small section at a time. actually found it more controllable than spray adhesive. just a suggestion, i'm sure the experts will step in with better, more correct methods -
