Default headlight problems

So my headlight stopped moving and I could hear the motor spinning. So I replaced the gear and bushings, no problem. Now the passenger side head light stops halfway when shutting and the motor stops also so I know its not spinning in there. There's no wires blocking the path of rotation and the motor guides seem to be identical to the drivers side which is working fine. Theres no kinks or bend and it will move fully open and shut by manually turning the ****. The funny thing is, it will work fine in both directions when the hood is up. But when the hood is shut, the headlight just won't rotate back and retract. Kind of feel dumb when I park and have to open my hood to shut my lights off Thanks for any info

Does it work if you run 12v directly to the headlight? Sometimes the headlight control module goes bad. If memory services drivers side by front, trace out the headlight wires.

You should always replaced both at same time. New bushings are acting as stop limit, I don't recommend a jumper wire due to burning up the headlamp control module. You can unplug the module and do direct power and ground and it may work with extra time as the worn gears spin , replace the bushings in the malfunctioning lamp.
