I use a power screw driver with a long T40 bit. I still have to break it free with the ratchet, but at least I can power the bolts off quickly. Regardless, it's still a pain
You won't get levers, I don't think. GM already tried levers/latches when designing the car, but quickly learned that they were no where near strong enough and moved to the bolt-on design.

I think most any will work fine. I have a Black and Decker which is probably about the cheapest POS you can get and it works fine. Mine does have a swiveling handle which you can swivel to a 90* and give yourself more leverage for tight tightening and for breaking loose. That is probably a feature that I'd recommend looking for as it allows you to get the bolts tighter than a typical straight driver handle.
I run mine until the motor bogs down and "stalls". Then I Keep holding the button and twist the driver w/my hand to get another ~1/4 turn out of each of the bolts. By then, it's pretty darn tight.
