I'm doing my interior and I keep finding pieces of glass(see picture). I know from the spid that the car came with a blue tinted top, which I never had. There is kind of a green tint in the pieces so that had me thinking maybe the windshield broke at one time.
thoughts?
Only the door windows and rear hatch glas will break into chunks like that. Windshield is laminated so it stays together.
Top is not glass.its plastic/lexan.
Thank you, mystery solved. I just kept finding this as I redid the interior of my "corvette fever" vette. My wife was helping me yesterday, she fixed/patched the hole in the floor from the bozo who hit it with the lift and I said to her "if I only was on corvette forum for 2 weeks before I bought this....I would've run away really fast".
Take the door panels off or try to sneak a peek with the window down and a flashlight, looking straight down into the bottom of the inside of each door. You'll likely figure out which window has been replaced by seeing more glass pieces inside!

Good idea, I haven't tackled the door panels in my interior conversion (saving best for last....LOL), I just realized the windows are up in positions and I can't do it because the car is pretty stripped down (Tires, brakes, rear & front suspension are whats left, other parts are new or stored for reinstall), but I can fish out the broken glass.

It looks like auto glass and is in some of the strangest places (shift area, under the carpet) so it definitely came from this car, too many pieces in too many places
The side windows and rear glass have date codes. If one or more of the window dates don't precede the assembly date of the car, there's your answer.
This is the easiest way to check 'door glass'. The glass info is rear lower edge of the door glass.Compare the information on the door glasses side to side. There's no need to be 'taking a peek' into the doors looking for more glass!
