Actually, I think it's cool to get our cars dirty once in a while. Like mud splatter on off-road vehicles. Everything will wash off, no harm done (I hope).
Bummer about not being able to get up your own driveway, though. I guess shoveling and sanding was out of the question at 1:00 a.m.

Patrick96LT4:
 Hey, you have some big ones for driving the car in those conditions. I was on a cruise this past summer, and saw a 50 year old man cry because his C5 got sprinkled on by a passing shower.
Looks like there is alot of detailing to do, but I comend you on driving your car and not keeping it holed up in the garage....!!! :)

:blueangel: The car will live, I promise. Paying 300$ to get it cleaned???? Have I wandered into c5 general?

Acckkkkk!!!! Patrick!!!! What did you do?????
Hehe, it'll clean up :yesnod: I can certainly sympathize on getting up the driveway :yesnod: Back on October 22, 1996, we had an "October Surprise," here in Kansas City. I was driving a lowered '95 Z28. Oh my... My driveway doesn't even go up 4 feet. And I truly did have to shovel snow and ice out of the way to get the car into the garage - it was awful. But the funny thing - my dad's Corvette at the time (a yellow LT4 - he had a different yellow LT4 from mine) had a far easier time than my Z28 did.
It's supposed to snow here tomorrow. No chance of my car going out, anyway - it's up on jacks amidst a water pump and intake manifold gasket repair  eh... yours could look like this

Hmm, well I wouldn't "detail" the undercarriage, but I could certainly get all the salt and crud off of it for far less than $300.
Supposed to be some snow and other nastiness here tomorrow, of course it'll all be melted away before I get out of bed. Hell it might even be snowing now. The car's already filthy I may just go find me an empty parking lot and have some fun :reddevil

You've got a lot of work ahead of you. Sad thing is that it'll be cold at the same time while you're doing it.

Oh Pat,
Erase those pictures! Those will come back to haunt you if you ever go to sell it in the C4 for sale forum :D

Cool, how fast did you get it up to? You were doing high speed runs out on the Bonneville salt flats,....right? I am surprised you got it in the garage, I tried driving mine in the snow the first couple of times when I first got mine. I had to park it and hitch hike home in the snow, I don't take it out if it is going to snow anymore. It is like a big sled with no steering. I would try to start in 3rd gear and it would still spin! :smash:

It is nice to see there are others who hate to see a salt-laden vette.
After being crucified in my post regarding C5ers out in the salt, its refreshing to find out I am not the only one one the forum who is saddened when road salt & vettes are mixed.
