Default Wireless back up camera

I just had major neck surgery and I have no mobility in my neck, so I can’t turn my neck around to look behind me. I don’t want to sell my 1989 coupe, so I was thinking of installing a wireless back up camera. Has anyone done this, and if so, what was your experience installing and using it. I could sure use some input so as to help me keep my very costly toy

thanks

Mike

I bought one for a business I had off of Ebay that connected to my cellphone. I had it on the rear of a 20' gooseneck trailer behind a flatbed and it work really well. With your car I think that would be a good choice so you don't have to have a monitor mounted, you can have your cellphone in a windshield mounted cellphone holder which is what I do as there is not a good place for it on the console. I just looked on Ebay but couldnt find the one that I had bought, it was about $100.

Here's one FYI https://smile.amazon.com/DoHonest-Di...1771751&sr=8-3

I haven't tried this, or any wireless backup cam. In the "old days," the wireless cams weren't very good -- lots of static etc. Perhaps they are better today.

I have installed a couple on my F250 and Suburban. As ghlkal said, sometimes the picture would not come in clear or even at all. Now your C4 is much shorter than either of my trucks, but I would still run a wired unit to avoid any problems. You can buy the individual components on Ebay for under $40.

I always just run wired ones. No distortion, no.problems. I just put a new one from Pyle on my c4, camera quality is great and it was like 10 bucks or so on Amazon.

Default Wireless backup camera.

Add a new stereo like the Pioneer add a camera to license plate and it works fabulous..
