On my mind, this video made a clear argument for the C4. It's also a bit unfair in that the Nissan was a full 17 years newer although I understand the comparison was driven by price.
Those guys at Everyday Driver also made a Corvette movie called American Original (I think it can be purchased on Amazon) They go through the highlights of Corvette from C1 to C7 and they were quite impressed with the C4, the C4 ZR1 especially. It is part of what got me looking for a C4 of my own.

True.
The red C4 in BOTH videos, is my car. I agree with others; I was happily surprised with how favorably they spoke of the C4 -especially when compared to much newer cars. My car is FAR from new, too. Cool vid, great review.

I just bought a 2003 350 Z for my 16 year old for 6K , that's what he wanted and fit the budget. I was never a fan of Japanese cars but I have to say I like it and have changed my mind

I posted this before, but in case anyone is interested, here is the C4 segment from that one. They pretty much say many of the same things, and some of the shots are the same/recycled shots. They did both vids fairly close together, time wise, and they had my car for two weekends to do the filming for both. Anyway, here is the C4 part from the movie....
And here was their conclusions of all the Generations. They definitely loved the C4 ZR-1...but I think virtually anyone would; it was an 18k mile, Haibeck 510 car. So...they loved it.
