Gloss Enhancer Recommendations

It is more about the wax you're using,...assuming you are actually using WAX, e.g., Carnuba or the like. But, as mentioned, the the prep* has to be done before you'll get best results. *NOTE: Stripping the old wax first (recommend using Dawn dishwashing liquid), followed by clay barring the paiint to remove all the contaminants first. Then, start layering on the carnuba of your choice. Adams and others too my have recommendations on finish products to use on their waxed polishes. Go with them.
How-some-ever!! Using a polymer polish instead of wax has been gaining a lot of favor over the years - with me especially, and especially on BLACK or dark colors!! I had a black 95 and lived on a gravel road. Between the dust and the dang pollen I'd have to strip and re-wax it 3-4 times every season in order to even be considered in a car show. That BS ALL ENDED when I discovered polymers (Zaino system). The polymer polishes base coat would (nano technology) would bond with the paint and form a base that would NOT get soft in the sunlight and would not absorb contaminants like dust and pollen. The clue that polymers were a different ball game was the fact it could be applied in direct sunlight. In fact, having a warm surface is even recommended by some polymers as it aids the boding to the paint. (Try that with a carnuba wax!).
I use Zaino on our Vettes, and in some recent YouTube demo comparisons, the top 5 (I saw this week) includes the Torque product line - their Torque Mirror shine and the (Zanio) Grand Finale are my choices:
I had my red ZR-1 painted several years ago, and when the paint cured completely, I used the Zaino system and have NEVER had to strip and re-polish is since!
We have a white Buick Enclaive that sits outdoors all the time all the time. (The Vettes get the garage, of course). On it we recently went with the Torque Mirror Shine product, and as advertised it went on extremely easily - took maybe 20-30 minutes to apply and buff. Nothing sticks to it either - not dust, not pollen...EXCELLENT stuff so far. (We'll see how it lasts, but after a couple weeks, water beads and runs off and the finish looks like glass!.
So... If you're the type that likes to apply elbow grease to the car every week, then carnuba is fine. Otherwise, the world is shifting to polymers and nano-polishes.
My Zaino (polymer) results. Just rinse off the dust and blow dry, and its showtime!
