A not so simple question
Good evening all. I've got a 1995 vert with a air bag message on dead center in my DIC. I'm also due for a safety inspection this month. I'm told by my mechanic that the module behind the center console has gone up in smoke and due to the pandemic it will take 5 to 6 weeks for the part delivery but, the inspection is due this coming week. Since the car is 25 years old it no longer requires and emissions check but does require a $7 safety inspection. The light came on 2 weeks ago...any way to douse the light?

Is the air bag light/function an inspectionable item?
Unless you know for sure that it is, I'd check with an inspection station.
When I lived in Texas my Vette always passed (no lights were on) so I
don't know what happens if it's on.
