It will depend on the geographic area, color, options, maintenance records, known problems, and how long you want to wait for a buyer. It could be anywhere from $12 to 18K. Bring a trailer website has been getting some good money for clean examples of C4s and an LT4 should get some attention. Look at sold prices not asking prices and you see a lot of people thinking they have something rare and it sits for months without selling.
It all boils down to finding a buyer will to spend his money for YOUR car.
I looked at a yellow, base options, 55000 mile car yesterday - didn’t get to drive it, but other than a after market radio and the famous rear window seal being bad It appears to be a very nice car - $16,000 on a small car lot.
It all depends on conditions, and finding the right buyer.
My general guess would be about 12 to 15 for a very nice low mile (~50k) car,
The other option if you like to work on things is to find a "fixer" that is nice but needs some things you can do. I found one like that. The shocks made a terrible clunk over every bump. It turned out that the top mounting nut on the fronts were backed off about a 1/2" (fixed for no cost). The wheels were a replica Z06 that I didn't like, but I sold those and put on the A-molds (made money on the trade). The biggest issues were the clutch chattered horribly and the engine would vibrate bad at 3000 rpm and up. It turned out that it had a bad Spec clutch and a Spec flywheel that was out of balance. I found a package deal that included a good low mile dual mass flywheel and a brand new OEM clutch and pressure plate and disc. It also had a '90 ZF transmission included in the package. I got it for a steal and still have my original transmission. There were also a few "little" items like a climate control that needed the contacts cleaned, a check valve that needed cleaned, etc. All told I only have about $7K in what I think is a very nice 40k mile car. collector edition with good paint, clean interior, and even a Borla exhaust.
96 vette LT4
Very Clean 96 corvette vert, LT4 engine, in excellent condition, 20,700 miles, low option car ..(base) is going to run mid teens. to the right guy.....im that guy.
I found my LT4 in the rare color of Bright Aqua Metallic with 47000 miles on it on ebay (Only 62 LT4s made in that color).
I paid 12,500.00,
ZR1 wheels, Corsa exhaust, both targa tops, newer tires.
Put a new clutch in it. Needs a few small items (radio, antenna etc)
I consider it a lucky find.
Nice car,
I think the 96 LT4 cars are slowly creeping up in price, probably low mileage examples even more, its hard to tell where the trends will end up. doesn't matter much to me i have no intention of ever selling my car. since I've owned both the 80's car and now the 90's car ...both are unique and have a different feel when you drive them. to be honest I'm not entirely sure which one I've liked the most.
hi Chris,my brother bought it new with the 6 miles he drove it.i would never sell it as it is a new car.
i can drive it all year long here in Cocoa Beach FL.,i drive it 2 to 3 times a week.i will get collector
plates in Febuary when it will be 25 years old.with the 6 speed and all options + convertible great
looking and driving car,Joe
No real pricing guide depends on a few things.
To some they are neat C4s but aging....to others its their collectors dream.
Seen nice sub 80k ones for 8k others in the low teens.
Member Sleazy Rider has a black one in the 4sale section....has miles but the whole thing has practically been rebuilt right. If you dont mind the odometer reading its a good buy imo.
Most havent had all the maintenance, new mechanicals. Age does things to a car no matter what the mileage is.
Heck my 88 missed to 1500 rpm til it got warm for a month as it sat a lot with the P.O. Just driving it every day cleared it up...sitting isnt good for cars.
