I just bought my first C4 a 95 I am 6'5" about 250 its a little tight to get into but once in its not too bad. I don't think i would be able to drive long distances comfortably. Getting out is not too bad, i am big enough i kind of hook my right elbow on the windshield as i stand up. But with money being a consideration you cannot go wrong with the C4, i just picked mine up for 5 grand, its got 110K on the clock, and everything works as it should besides the radio which i have already replaced. And besides some wear on the seats which i already have new covers on the way and some crappy looking weatherstrip down the sides of the windshield it looks great.

I think a consideration that everyone here is overlooking is maintenance. These cars are old and certainly need work. I would imagine at 70 you're not too excited to be jacking up the car and working on it...

Yes reading the possible issues is concerning but I am pretty savy under the hood. Hopefully I wont have to test those skills for a while! I appreciate the time and detail of the veteran owners, Glad there is a solid community to reach out to, and to Contribute to in the future!

I am a bit of a tuner head so I am wading through the morass of chips and adapters, up links, ribbon cables and emulators oh my. Would like to get head porting and maybe shorty headers to start.

I am wondering what would be a starting place to look at for preventive maintenance if you had to do it over again at 50K. From all records it was treated very well and consistent miles over its 27 years. paid 13K judging by Haggerty's estimator is good to excellent condition. Seats aren't even wrinkled.
Don't waste your money on shorties(no HP increase). If you port the heads (might as well do the intake) I recommend Lloyd Elliott (google him, I always screw up the website link)

Got it. Thank you. I have been all around the neighborhood with most of the popular shops mentioned. Too many to recall. I was thinking shorties playing to the strength of the LT1 which is torque. I was thinking winding out a 27 year old motor often enough would age it back to the future in a hurry. Anyways I appreciate the comments and will as always take those into account.
