Because all modern brand name oils are way better than good enough, already have all the additive package that you need....properly balanced. Even for "higher mileage motors to help with wear".
So what is Lucas bringing to the plate? What's in it? How is that going to interact with the additive package that's already in your motor oil? What does your motor oil say about adding your own additives (they say, "not to")?
Without knowing what you're pouring in, why you're pouring it in, and what "problem" you're attempting to fix with the product that you're pouring in....why are you pouring it into your engine's orifices? Because it was affordable? That's your reasoning?
I'd stick with a basic brand name oil which is way better than good enough. I'd let the engineers and chemists of that product handle the mixing ratios and make up of the additive package and I would do that, because it works. A side benefit is that it costs nothing.
Yeah I was on a C4 group on FB but as a whole you guys think I’ll be good? I’m changing the oil, oil sender, filter, and putting in some Lucas additive. I’ll also be Checking it with an oil pressure gauge. Keep you guys posted.
You'll be just fine, but you may need to refresh the engine in a year or two. I was a member of 2 FB C4 groups, there was more bad information there than good by a long shot,

Refresh meaning like cams etc? And makes sense dedicated forum is usually much much better and that’s why in here btw so I was driving the car around tonight a bit. And when the car was cold it was about 43 PSI at idle but when I stepped on it the PSI wouldn’t go up but it would once the PSI was in the 30’s sounds like a possible sender issue to me.
