Default Bottoming

I live in an area with many twisty, hilly, two lane blacktops. Sometimes I might drive a little fast. My issue is with hills that are like "V". At the bottom of one hill you start right back up the next. Unless I slow down a lot, my 96 base coupe bottoms at the front end just as I get to the lowest part of the V.

I'm thinking maybe front shocks with more damping might help with this. Where would I get the most damping - Ridetech, Koni, or Bilstein? I do not have Z51 pkg. I know Bilstein B6 is essentially stock replacement. That's not my question. TIA

You should check if there are any cracks/delaminization of the springs. I have a dip in my driveway and if going too fast I would scrape the bar under the front fascia

Is the suspension bottoming out or is your front spoiler hitting the road?

It also matters what sort of distance we're talking about. If it's going up in down over like a foot, you could be geometrically screwed, and only more ride height would fix it.

If it's suspension travel, stiffer springs and shocks may help.

Probably most often it's that cow catcher air dam thingy. I think sometimes it's suspension bottoming, but not 100% on that.

Get you a pair of new shocks for the front. I installed new ones on my 87 and they raised the front of my car by almost an inch!...(also installed on the rear, same outcome)...

Mine does that, front air dam is worn down bad. Hope it isnt a spring but know the shocks are toast.

Perhaps not my preference. Don't mind to spend a little to not slow down. But thanks.

I put new ac delco shocks on and still hit the dip in my driveway if I'm going too fast, I suggest you take a good look at the spring

Springs (one or both) are cracked/splintered. If you use and degreaser besides simple green it will eat the springs overnight, (even a little bit)
