Just wondering if driving a Vette in really cold weather damages the paint and/or fiberglass? Always heard this, just wondering if it is true or just another urban legend ?
I've driven mine just about everyday for the last three years, no problems so far. You would do worse by not driving.
I can't drive either one now, ones in the garage blocked in by my non running MOPAR and the other is under 8" of snow.
Once I clear the snow off(we're having a heat wave this weekend, a whopping 40 degrees), I'll be driving it to work again.
My only problem is that it takes me longer to warm the car up than it takes to get to work, so most of the time I'll drive my truck to work and use the vette for play after.
Thanks for the encouragement. I have heard all kinds of horror stories about cold weather & fiberglass. Has been all 2nd and 3rd hand info from non Vette owners. cracking, breaking, checking, delaminate, you name it. My first winter with one.
