run flat tires

i tried to buy run flat for my 1996,they do not make them anywhere for 17" wheels.i bought Cooper extreme contact that were $900 and change installed,great tires just have to keep a can of fix a flat as i have a convertible with spare tire delete !
i live in Florida and had 3 people looking for them,there were none

I wouldnt want them even if they were obtainium. Put AAA membership card in the car and carry a can of fix-a-flat in a pinch.
Michelin's tires on the C7 are the only good RFT tire thus far made, and when i change my tires I won't be going with them again.

looks like the slime or multi seal looks like it works better,i have not have to use any of these as i only have less than 5,000 miles on tires and 15,185 on the car.the original tires are not available for 17" rims,no run flats for a 1996 convertible. i will buy slime or the other next time i get to a store,thanks for the info..
