Looking at 1995 coupe.
Is $5,00.00 a reasonable price, yellow automatic, 127K miles? Needs weather stripping, replacement seat covers & has an issue with one of the headlights not aligning with the hood when it is closed..
Did the 95's also have the VATs anti-theft system?

That is what I paid for my 95 with similar issues minus the headlight thing. Yes they do have the chip key, which I personally have never had an issue with even in my 96 Bonneville that had 260K on it when i got rid of it. And getting replacement keys isn't even that bad, just measure the ohms on your key and order the appropriate blanks on ebay for like 15 bucks and then have any hardware store cut them.

So many variables to give an assessment. Cosmetics: paint fade, clear coat peel, door dings, spider cracks, etc.
Mechanicals: Oil leaks, age of tires, a/c refrigerant leaks, original ignition system, etc, etc, etc.
Have you (or a trusted mechanic) done a thorough inspection?
At least the amount is not outrageous in total, unless it is a real beater.
Sorry. Not much help. just not much to go on.
If this car has the "sport" fighter pilot looking seats, they are extremely expensive to recover.
The leather is expensive and there is about 10 different pieces of foam that all have to be replaced when you remove the old leather.
The foam will tear when you pull the old leather off.
Good luck.
If it runs and drives $5,000 is a reasonable price, long as you keep in mind money will be coming out of your pocket for a bunch of things that will help ensure it will be a reliable toy. My 95 one owner recently bought from a dealer in great condition was twice as much. Get it and enjoy between times with the hood up making repairs. Just have to keep in mind your dealing with an over 25 year old car.

I agree. I also would want to know if the 100k maintenance was done (spark plugs, etc), transmission and differential serviced, condition of shock absorbers, everything is working (interior lights, radio/speakers/antenna, heater core, A/C, cruise, ABS), etc.
It's a fair price as long as you realize that you very well may be putting that much into it again to get up to snuff unless you can do all of the work yourself. Does the current owner have any maintenance records?
95 is a great year for c4 I've been driving mine for 15 years. If you do buy it be sure to get yourself a set of the 2-volume Factory Service Manual specific to the year 1995 will save you $$$ over the long run.
