I need to remove the wires from some of the ECM plugs on my 93. It appears the there are screw driver slots next to the pins is that how the pins are released or are they released by inserting a very small pin in small hole on the bottom
of the female pin hole? these are so small I don't want to mess it up.

Piece of .020” wire inserted into the smaller hole. I tend to push the ECM wire into the connector to make sure the metal lever is free from the catch inside plastic connector then insert tool to depress lever.
Guys thank you both for your responses. Those are big helps. I did manage to find and order a tool to release the locks and should have it be next week. I'm doing the LS swap and want to remove the old LT wiring from the harness. Thanks again to you both.
