Best headers for my set-up?
I'm ready for some headers on my '89. I've got the larger stainless front Y pipe with out pre-cats, a gutted main cat and the 3" stainless muffler elems. The air fliter cover is cut out and the MAf screens are cut out. I have a Performance Resourse chip. What headers will go in easy and work the best?

Hookers, to keep the AIR and smog stuff, youd need 2149s.
What size you get (1.75" or 1 5/8") depends on whether youre goin to further modify the motor later.

Hooker makes the 2149 which keeps all the smog provisions and is a bolt on mod, although you'll probably need a new y pipe. They also sell the 2151's which is the same header without the AIR provisions, they really clean up the engine compartment. I will warn you though that long tubes with no mufflers of any sort will be VERY loud and can attract the sound police to your door quickly.
